BMW E12 is the executive sedan which was first introduced in 1971 and its production was halted in 1981 in West Germany. This car was a development of the BMW Neue Klasse Sedans (New Class Sedan), the forerunner of the BMW 5 series first. Around the world, all the BMW E12 is only available as a 4-door sedan with a manual transmission with a choice of 4-cylinder M10 engine and the 6-cylinder M20. The car was designed by Paul Bracq who also designed a range of Citroën, Peugeot, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.
